30 years ago on this day the third album by The Clash, London Calling, was released. It is still considered to be one of the best albums ever recorded and features an astonishing amount of marvelous tracks. One of our favorites is Guns of Brixton which in the above recording has a nice dubbed out feeling to it due to the bad quality of the recording equipment.

The representatives of the La Conca Space Colony, Cpt. Béla Fonte and Lt. Tough Terry, provide their first two-part report on the colony's research in the fields of passion, desire and prolonged rapture.

Erobique, live in concert

1,5 Weeks ago the representatives of the La Conca Space Colony joined forces with their close friends of TDSVW and enjoyed the great Music of Erobique. In the transmission above we try to recreate a little bit of the awesomeness of the show.

A few weeks ago some Japanese dudes visited the Colony and bought all our old control-panels. Today we know what they did it for: They built business-card cases out of them, which you can purchase here for roughly 30€.

A few weeks ago the beneficial spirit of our humble space colony reached out to Japan. It seems as if the people still living on earth slowly change.

Happy Birthday Mix-Up!

30 years ago on this day the debut album of Cabaret Voltaire, Mix-Up, was released. It features one of the colony’s most beloved Cabs tracks, the dark love song No Escape. The original version of No Escape was recorded by the psychedelic garage rock band The Seeds for their self titled debut album. Happy Birthday!

Zero gravity = zero accident

Man mag vermuten, dass die La Conca Weltraumkolonie vornehmlich zur Erforschung alternativer Lebensmodelle gegründet worden ist. Dies ist allerdings ein Trugschluss, denn tatsächlich bevorzugen wir das Leben in der Schwerelosigkeit hauptsächlich weil uns weniger Sachen auf den Kopf fallen können.

You might have asked yourself what the La Conca representatives are doing besides criticizing Stuttgarts belated efforts in space advocacy. I think I got to sneeze

Well, well. All that improved thermal insulation and warm atmosphere in the colony does not prevent its representatives from catching a severe cold. But we're a competent team that can keep the quality of its work high, no matter how many of us are sick. Anything else would be unprofessional!

Our short excursion to witness a weekend of parties and elections has ended. Now we take our time to improve the thermal insulation of the colony.

Living in space is a lot of fun, especially because of the great music everywhere in the colony. But as you can see in the transmission above we also have to struggle. But we struggle in style.

Kindertage

Childhood days... the boy is now the biggest Nana Mouskouri impersonator at La Conca as you may have guessed because of his doll. The girl used to bully him and is actually quite nasty.

The question the Association is asking itself for some days now is weather Vincent would have become a Pirate after removing that body-part, or if he would have stayed an artist.
