Drifting though the outer perimeters of our space system we encountered a Polish astronaut by the name of Zambon who transmits the results of his music related research to the Blog Kosmiczne Pyry. One of his latest missions was this Mix for Ruff Jamz Audio.
Here's the perfect soundtrack for your hung over Sunnday morning. At least that's what we here at the colony think about Joe Malenda's edit of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac.
One of the dearest friends of the colony, Mr. Flo Ehing from TDSVW, made a guest mix for the amazing keep-it-deep blog. Oldschool Electro is just the beginning...
Yes, we could post more, witty transmissions about the colony's research. But on the other hand: you could click this link and buy the Robert Owens album. The whole colony has fallen in love with him.
A few months ago Rayko made this fantastic edit of Bonnie Tyler's song "I Need a Hero". He took it offline after a very short time, but today Lt. Tough Terry found it buried deep in the depths of the archives of the colony.
When dancing you should always bear the instructions in mind Hercules is giving you in his track "7 Ways", released in 1986. If you can't remember: Here we have the Club edit for you.
Running a space colony is hard work - sometimes so hard that you forget your own birthday! Yes, it is (some more days then) one year ago that we started to inform you about the developments in our research. During this year we gained some seminal results which prove that our work has to be continued. This weekend is dedicated to the celebration of our endeavors, starting tonight with the latest installment in the TDSVW party series. Come and join us!
From time to time the two humble representatives of the La Conca Space Colony recommend products designed for your well being. Often these recommendations are shallow jokes or cryptic references. But today we tell you straight forward to buy the compilation "Brotherhood" released by Honey Soundsystem! 13 mad house and disco tunes on a beautifully packaged CD, housed in an even more beautiful 14,5 x 22,0 cm card board box. So send your money to San Francisco!
"Touch Upon Touch [...] became the last Cocteau Twins song ever released. It was also one of the two songs written and arranged by Fraser, Guthrie and Raymonde for Chinese pop singer Faye Wong for her Mandarin album Fu Zao released in June 1996."
It was very nice yesterday at TDSW13. Wow! One year already! No wonder the boys had some special gimmicks in store for us, like the MCDE surprise one track set. Next time: Âme playing a hi hat (live!!!). Here's to you!
We wholeheartedly recommend these three events: - TDSW13 06-05-2010 - Cybernetic Discotheque 14-05-2010 - Straight 21-05-2010 Climax Institutes (aciieeeed!!!) Oh and we have our second round at Club Röhre, 29-05-2010
But he sounds rather nice for 6 minutes and 33 seconds. (I don't get it why the RCRD-LBL player does not show the running time. Such is the power of the colony. RCRD-LBL have reworked their player.)
You might remember our assignment to support the endeavors of Stuttgart's beloved TDSVW-Crew with an exclusive mix. Unfortunately we went through some severe technical hiccups which hampered the data transfer between Stuttgart and the colony until some days ago. But finally we can present you here the recording of Cpt. Béla Fonte’s phase of the mission. Enjoy.
Snowy and cold was nice - but enough is enough! But what can we do? Well, a visit at the Leuze provides a decent amount of la-conca-atmosphere - if you go there in the evening. Inside there's relaxed people, warmth, soft light and a charmingly dated interior design and outside is the dark cold night. Just like the early days of the colony.
